Let me introduce myself. My name is Lucas O’Connor, and I’m a German-American singer and songwriter from Erlangen, Germany. I was born in December 2003.

From a young age, I dreamed of making my own music and singing. Getting praise from music teachers and school programs through to high school, however, was never enough to silence the voices of self-doubt in my mind. It was when I moved to the United States for one semester of college and enrolled in an audio recording class that I realized that the only thing holding me back was, well, me. I never had the confidence to believe in my own lyrical and musical talent until I was able to fully explore my capabilities in an environment that was openly interested in what I had to offer.

This is what eventually led me to Berklee College of Music’s virtual school, Berklee Online, which I enrolled in a Music Business bachelor’s program, once I was back in Germany after my semester abroad. Berklee has since further offered me the infrastructure to explore my full potential while also learning the ins-and-outs of the music industry. Especially useful for a small, independent artist like me.

I live and breathe for songwriting. Writing songs about my past, current, and future experiences is something that has become second nature to me. On occasion, the catharsis I experience from versifying my own life has even become a necessity. It helps me process events and find clarity in a world that often gives a person in his twenties many questions without offering any answers. In this regard, my lyrics are quite unique. They are both immensely personal to me and tell the stories that I have lived through or imagined in razor-sharp detail, all while still offering a level of relatability that simultaneously makes them very accessible.

The sharpness of my lyrics is accompanied by crisp and diverse music. I am a vocalist and a guitar player and have dabbled in self-producing my music. I have always known, however, that the best music is made in collaboration with people who can broaden your capabilities and truly understand your vision. My creative visions are naturally informed by the music I love, which ranges from singer/songwriter acoustic folk music to electrifying and pulsing dance-pop hits. This broad range can also be found in my discography thanks to my close collaborator, Aaron Morton, whom I met through Berklee.

My sophomore album, “Take Me Out”, was released on October 16th, 2026. It has been promoted with the pre-release singles “Still Here, Still There, Still Everywhere” (06/26/2026) and “Please Don’t Ruin My Life” (09/16/2026).
